I take advantage of the early morning hours to continue my trek due south along route 997. The narrow shoulders and busy truck traffic continue to be annoying. The sun is up, the wind cool, and I push ever onward.
I do survive arriving in homestead. For me Key West is only 60 miles away since I have previously walked a large chunk of Route 1 in the Keys.

I am able to escape from my comfortable Miami penthouse to keep carving away sections of My Dream Walk route. I start here today once again comfortable with the thought that I near the end of my quest.
