I am dragging a bit as I struggle to write an evening blog. I have been fighting the stiff climbs up through the beginning of the Rocky Mountains known as the Bitterroots. The bitterroot [Lewisia Redviva] is the state flower of Montana. The raging, overflowing St Joe River keeps me company. The patio at Big Eddies is flooded.”Not as bad as it could be”, the manager tells me. As I walk by the flooded acres dotted with signs advertising future sites for vacation homes I know exactly what he means. Ahead in the coming days is the Gold Summit, a dirt road and those waiting wolves.

Must be Getting Tired
