Finding A Way
I had reached St Regis close to 9 PM. A lone Chinese restaurant served me a last minute meal. {It wasn’t appealing but at least it was nourishment]
It has been a daunting yet exciting adventure crossing the Gold Summit Pass. Forest road number 388 connects Avery, Idaho with St Regis. At 6 AM I go back to the summit near mile marker 89.4, make my way across some snow, again compute the route distance and wobble up and down the mountain until I have covered the entire 28 mile Idaho/Montana distance along route 388. The sun is out. In the PM I have an easy walk [well deserved] through and east of St Regis. As a reward I drink some wine.
