A Church
The priest isn’t here for the service this Sunday. He comes only every other week traveling over 200 miles to get here. He is 87 years old. You can get the key to the front door, however, at the hotel lobby across the street for those who want to make a spiritual visit.
“You’re the walker aren’t you?” the archeology assistant asks. “We’re conducting a dig at an ancient peoples “watch site”. That’s where the ancients would watch to see if animals or people were coming into their lands. We still find old artifacts”
“This is tallow”, she said. “Rub it on your forehead for pain. At least that’s what the elders say. Here’s some chamomile. You should gather up these flowers and take a bath with them. It will make you feel very good after all that walking”
