Wind Swept
The fields are dry in June. The recent alfalfa has been harvested, bailed and now sits patiently across acre after acre waiting for truck pick. It will later be processed into pellets to feed the thousands of hungry cows roaming the vast prairie nearby. Trouble is the wind is so strong it captures dust, pebbles and slices of burnt grass, shakes and swirls them, and pounds the unsuspecting walker as he fights his way across the lonely prairie.
It’s hot too. Temperature in the 90’s. Well, what are you going to do? Just keep moving. Preppies say “Just Do It”, Not Me!
